The late kick saw the new comers; Thousand Hills RFC beat the Kigali Sharks RFC 25-7 in an entertaining clash at the Gatenga Grounds.
This match began on a cagey note, the Thousand Hill’s Isimbi Carlos scoring one straight forward penalty attempts in the opening quarter of an hour. The Sharks would settle in the match, mauling and rucking from a line out deep in Thousand Hills territory and could not easily ground the ball. Carlos third attempt at goal was successful; enabling the Thousand Hills to add three points with the scores at 13-0 at the end of the first half.
The second half started with different game plan by  Sharks who were not going down without a fight, again taking the game to the host, gaining good ground, only to be let by Nemeye Emmanuel .

The Kigali Sharks made the game safe when Nemeye, receiving the ball from a lineout in midfield, sliced through the Thousand Hills defence, beating the gain line and offloading to Ngizwenayo Barnabas who played in Irankunda Onesime who touched down with J.de Dieu Hakizimana converting for a 13-7 score.
Thousand Hills players like, Bigirimana Jacques, Mucungura Dusenge Diego, changed the Kigali Sharks expectations and help to raise the score, and the final score was 25-7 on the favor of the host.
