First of all , I would like to wish you once again a happy and prosperous new year !! I hope every one had great time with friends and/or family.
As for rugby in Rwanda , not many things did really change ,but also some new innovative plans are to put in action this year, the other good thing that many didn't expect is the 2013 Hong Kong tour, and in this year ,it is big, because the Rwanda Silver Backs lead by Dave Hughes who is always working hard with the federation to help the young rugby players to grow by introducing new rugby structure ,roles,laws and techniques, and inviting coaches to Rwanda, now is taking the team to the famous 10 a side tournament in the world "THE HONG KONG TENS" that will take place at the usual Hong Kong football club.

This tournaments resembles teams from all over the world , rugby players, elites ,coaches , journalists, experts, from different parts are gathered ,to watch the spectacular games in a beautiful city.

It is a big step forward for the Rwandan rugby, it is an exposure to the world of rugby, people will get to know that there are some rugby talents in the land of thousand hills. The team is now training hard , three days a week, we hope to see them shine and perform well because guys; "we have to, this is a next level tournament we have ever been to"

When we talk about Rwanda rugby in general, we cannot forget about how other rugby fans ,supporters and volunteers like ,the friends of Rwanda rugby are doing to make the progress of the game all over the country,by organizing friendly games and inter school games between many primary and secondary schools in the country,to promote unity, peace culture and reconciliation among people, we really appreciate what they have achieved so far through the rugby officers that represent the charity.
The last thing we can talk about is the friendly game between the Kigali Sharks RFC and ICETAR, that took place last Saturday in Ruyenzi. The game was fair and friendly , the young boys from ICETAR seemed tougher than the Sharks players and the final score was : ICETAR 15 - 5 Sharks.
