LET'S TALK RUGBY !!

Rugby is a great game. Isn't it?
Every body, I mean who knows how it is played, would say yes as the answer for the question .

So let talk about it today as we don't have many other news about rugby in our country.

We need your opinions,advises and any thing else you can say about sport in general or rugby. when we read novels,sport magazines,news papers etc.. or when we watch sport news or live games on TV, we get ideas; and most of the ideas are for example ,start doing sport or practice regularly for those who don't do sport at all, start a journey to be professional athletes for those who are doing it regularly ,for those who retired ,they still enjoy playing week end games with friends or others do charity or community work trough rugby to help others. And then finally for those who don't do sport at all,they watch it and understand that sport is something that can bring people together,something that can make people help and support each other, something that can change people's life,something that can somebody travel and make friends around the world and of course something that can change the world and make it a better place for all.

After that, i think everyone knows how how big is sport in this planet and especially in our country.
Many of us also know the history of our country,we know that we do not have to forget about it,but learn from it and make a good decision for your life in the future.
Sport is needed in Rwanda ,to re conciliate people after what happened, people need to watch many games to make them happy and happier,to make them meet friends and lough again.

The majority of the Rwanda people is especially the youth, many are naturally athletes and are able to play any kind of game they can be introduced to if they start at a young age.Beyond that, we all know that our government is positive about sport, sponsors are also ready to help any sport if the sponsored team is well organized.

Rugby need to be a well organized sport, and it is, in other countries. But in our case ,our officials and team leaders need to seat down and make a UNION,I mean do everything as a team,as one family as it is else where in the world.
Players are present in almost every province and need your support,they need materials that rugby requires,they need proper coaching and they need to play games to challenge themselves.


All these are up to you leader if you really want rugby to be played and to get popular in our country and in the world.

Rugby non-stop in Rwanda.

After some rest and some times with family and friend, some of the players are back to training.
The national team is again invited to the annual NILE SPECIAL rugby that will take place in Jinja/ Uganda.
Players are ready to departure tomorrow morning and the tournament will start on Friday and end on Saturday, but there are also some players who were injured in Hong Kong and wont make it for this time's trip like : Habumugisha Moise, Kamali Vincent and Aime Ndahirwa.

The tournament is sponsored by the beer called NILE SPECIAL and attracts teams from around East Africa.
It is another chance to the young Rwandans rugby players to improve and show their talent as well as having fun and make friends through rugby.

We would also like to mention that the remera buffaloes rugby team were in Mbarara/ Uganda, where they were also invited to the western Uganda charity rugby 7's. Buffaloes won with no difficulties against UCU, 41- 7 and beat Rams in the semis 17-5.

The best player of the tournament was Akami Makombe Benjamin who was just back from Hong Kong and the top try scorer was Kamali Vincent.

It is a great thing from the boys to show other teams in East Africa and in the world that rugby in Rwanda is alive.

We are looking forward to welcome you back with medals and a trophy !! said Rwanda rugby fans.
