The Thousand Hills Saturday Fun Rugby

Last Saturday 14th March 2015, while the Kamonyi Puma RFC was giving a good battle to the Huye based team UR Grizzlies in Kamonyi and managed to win on a 16-10 score, in Kigali at Gatenga youth Center we had our weekly most amazing and fun event," THE SATURDAY FUN RUGBY".

Although it was raining, kids, girls and boys were present and were enjoying to play the great game in the mad.
The game between the Remera Buffaloes U14 boys against the Thousand Hills U14 boys ended once again with the victory of the Thousand Hills boys 20-0. Both teams shown talent and skills which shown better future for the lads.
Girls were not many and played a bit of tag rugby which was also enjoyable.
As for the Thousand Hills Senior boys, they played a 7's contact game, the score was respectively 35-30 and all the boys liked to get themeslves in the mad. 

We take this opportunity to thank Mr Benjamin Veyrac, the Buffaloes head coach for his time and for being a good referee for the kids, we also would like to thank evryone who came, from young boys, girls, fans, coaches for making it happen!

Thousand Hills RFC vs Lions de Fer RFC

The second leg of the National league continued on Saturday 21st February 2015 were Kigali Sharks hosted the Remera Buffaloes RFC. The first half of the game ended with the Buffaloes leading with 6-0 score.

At the second half the host could not resist the pressure from the Buffaloes and Itanzi Jean Baptiste and Jean Paul Ajali scored the two tries of the game were Lucien Bikamba who was the man of the matchconverted one. The final score was Buffaloes RFC 18-0 Kigali Sharks RFC.

Yesterday 22nd February 2015 was the second game of the second leg of the National league.
The Thousand Hills RFC hosted the Lions de fer RFC from Nyamirambo. The game started at 3:45 pm, both teams were determined and needed to be among the top teams in the league.
The lions dominated the first 5 minutes before the detrmination and anthusiasm of the young Thousand Hills side. Niyoyita Pierre scored the first try of the game after just 15 min, and was well converted by Isimbi Carlos ( Carlos C Kicker). The lions couldn't resist the pressure from Thousand Hills RFC which secured 19-0 lead at the first half, the two tries were scored by Bigirimana Jacques and Habimana Heritie (Wasale Serevi Eri Crinton), and one more conversion by Isimbi Carlos.

The Lions made a good come back in the second half and Nsanzumuhire Valentin helped his team to get its first try on a good pick and go and support from Nikwigize Olivier Pappy, who were the key player of the Lions, the conversion was well kicked by Ishimwe Jean D'amour.
After few minutes of great defense by the visitors, the Thousand Hills RFC managed to get another try from Tuyisenge Jean Luc (Mbogo). Nsanzimana Ignace of Lions scored another try which was well converted by Ishimwe Jean D'amour,the Thousand Hills other try came from Bigirimana Jacques after a very good pass from Mugisha Michael, then another try from Mugabo Fidel Castro and two more from Tuyisenge Jean Luc who was had his hardtrick, and all of these tries were converted without mistake by Isimbi Carlos.
The game ended by a total domination of the new comer " The Thousand Hills RFC " without doubt.

Players like, Shema Lion Serge, Nsengimana Jdamour, Takuro Kawatsu, Kansanga David,Wasale Serevi Eri Crinton, Habimana Heritier, Bigirimana Jacques, Mugabo Fidel Castro, Ombeni Iradukunda, Dusenge El Diego, Tuyisenge Jean Luc, Muhire Yvan, Sibo Trey Christian, Ntare Jackson, Kabura Selemani were outstanding!!!

Final score: Thousand Hills RFC 54-14 Lions de Fer RFC.
